It’s a Kaiju Mosh Pit in New Godzilla: King of the Monsters Trailer

Godzilla has been around a long time. In Godzilla: King of the Monsters our tortured history with the most iconic beast in cinema has come to a point of clarity. Godzilla was clearly a good guy in Gareth Edwards‘ 2014 Godzilla, but it took nearly the entire film’s runtime for folks on the ground to realize that. In this new trailer for director Michael Dougherty’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters,

How Dumbo‘s Producer Carves out Creative Space for Tim Burton

Twenty-three years ago, Dumbo producer Derek Frey started working for Tim Burton as a gofer on Mars Attacks. Over the course of Burton’s next 11 movies, Frey rose through the ranks to become a trusted consigliere to the visionary director. Among Frey’s chief tasks: making sure that Burton gets to be Burton. “Tim’s an artist,” Frey says. “He treats every project like a canvas. I always try to – I don’t want to say ‘protect’

The Avengers Reflect on Their Loss and Odds Against Thanos in Endgame

Losing is never a good feeling and there was a whole lot of it in Avengers: Infinity War. We lost the Infinity Stones, the battle, and half of everyone we loved.

The losses still weigh heavy on us fans, and perhaps even more so on the remaining cast members. Some of the remaining few shared their thoughts on moving forward without the fallen.

It seems emotional for everyone. We were all crushed by that outcome and the Avengers themselves are still reeling in Endgame trailers.

The Russo Brothers Want you to see Avengers: Endgame in IMAX

If you’ve got an IMAX theater near you, the Russo Brothers suggest you take advantage of it. The directors of Avengers: Endgame understandably believe that you should see the biggest film in Marvel history on the largest screen possible. If you’re going to be saying goodbye to Chris Evans’ Captain America, why not make sure his visage is crystal clear and massive? The directors are appealing not only to the size of their Phase 3-ending epic but also to how they shot the film.

Chris Evans Grows Reflective as Avengers: Endgame Nears

Despite denials that Avengers: Endgame will be Chris Evans’ final turn as Steve Rogers, he still sounds like he’s on the Captain America farewell tour.

The MCU star has been having a tough time coming to terms with the final showdown against Thanos. He seems to be more broken up by the coming of the latest installment than his fellow castmates.

James Wan Shares First Peek at Annabelle Comes Home

Before he was the man who brought Aquaman to the big screen, James Wan was already making waves with his films. He is the driving creative force behind the deliciously creep Conjuring universe. One member of that universe is the doll Annabelle, who first appeared in Wan’s 2013 Conjuring and then in her own film—a prequel—in 2014. Now Wan’s creation is getting her third film.

Reports put Avengers: Endgame Runtime at 182-Minutes Long

You know the excitement around a film is huge when its purported runtime is an ongoing story. The Russo Brothers’ Avengers: Endgame is going to be the longest, largest film in Marvel‘s history. We know that based on what the film represents—it’s the culmination of 10-years and 22 films worth of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It represents the end of Marvel’s Phase 3. It is very likely the swan song for one of the MCU’s biggest and stars and most important characters—Chris Evans’

Esmé Creed-Miles on Becoming Hanna in Amazon’s new Series

When F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote, in his Hollywood novel The Last Tycoon, that “there are no second acts in American lives,” he either hadn’t considered international lives. Nor had he considered the advent of streaming television.

Thus Amazon brings us Hanna, a reboot, reconsideration, and expansion of 2011’s feature film of the same name. British actress Esmé Creed-Miles plays the 15-year-old titular character. Hanna is raised in feral isolation in the forests of Eastern Europe,

We warn you, the details from Clarke’s trauma may be upsetting.

The actress revealed in a deeply personal essay in The New Yorker yesterday that she endured a life-threatening health scare just as she was gaining international fame.
