The feature is directed by Daniel Minahan and written by Milch. HBO has released a new teaser that reveals some of our favorite characters returning to the West’s most ruthless town. If you need a proper Deadwood primer,

A Surprising Game of Thrones Character Gets Their Own Iron Throne Poster

We’ve seen the Iron Throne a thousand times. The spiky, elaborate, metal position of power has become so ingrained in our brains, I couldn’t spot the difference here at first. A new Game of Thrones poster shows a new angle of the most famous chair in Westeros – or does it?

A slew of posters released last month envisioned every single remaining main character ending up as the ruler of all.

18 Reasons to Watch Netflix’s Sensational Love, Death, & Robots

To say that Love, Death & Robots isn’t like anything else on TV wouldn’t be entirely accurate. There’s simply nothing quite like it on TV. It manages to be many things at once; a series of gorgeously and variously animated shorts that range from comedy to horror to sci-fi to fantasy. It has, in my mind, one of the goriest episodes of any show not named Game of Thrones (the legitimately unsettling “Sonnie’s Edge”).

Does the new Avengers: Endgame TV Spot Hint at Cap’s Death?

We were just writing about how Marvel has wisely kept Avengers: Endgame footage limited. Although they recently released a “final” trailer, which followed their big Super Bowl spot and the first trailer, we argued the studio has kept these looks limited in scope. This new TV spot—which opens with the Marvel logo disintegrating into dust—once again delivers the chills without much in the way of new footage.

Watch the Grimmer Alternate Opening for Bumblebee

You can now get a glimpse of what a different kind of Bumblebee film might have looked like. Director Travis Knight’s beloved stand-alone film is already available on digital HD and will be released on Blu-ray release next month. This means Paramount has been racing out a slew of special features. One of those is a much grimmer opening scene that would have likely set the stage for a very different version of the film.

Summer is the most magical time in a kid’s life. No school, warm days, and endless adventures. Those adventures are just a little more bizarre in the Upside Down. The Stranger Things gang is trying to navigate changing relationships and growing up while still battling sci-fi creatures from beyond in a new trailer.

The First Hellboy Clip has Arrived

The first official Hellboy clip is here. Professor Bruttenholm (Ian McShane) has an intriguing offer for his adopted son from hell (David Harbour)—a mission to The Osiris Club. We’ve gotten a better sense of how director Neil Marshall’s Hellboy is blazing its own trail via the trailers. Guillermo del Toro’s beloved two Hellboy films meant Marshall and his star Harbour had their work cut out for them.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Photos Highlight Robbie, DiCaprio & Pitt

We’ve got our first look at Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which boasts a phenomenally talented cast and a setting ripe for his particular talents. The story takes place in 1969 in Southern California and is centered on Leonardo DiCaprio‘s fading star Rick Dalton and his stunt double, Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth. The two performers happen to live next door to star Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie),

Christopher Nolan Casts John David Washington in Mysterious Next Film

What do you think when you hear the term “event film”? Mega superhero blockbuster like Avengers: Endgame? A star-studded movie from an acclaimed director like Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood? Something else entirely? We ask because that is how Christopher Nolan’s mysterious new film is being described. Variety reports that Nolan has cast BlacKkKlansman star John David Washington in his next project.

Groove to the First Trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

The first glimpse at Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is here. While the trailer doesn’t deliver much by the way of the storyline, it does reveal a few of our key players. There are Leonardo DiCaprio‘s fading star Rick Dalton and his stunt double, Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth. There’s an especially fun sequence in which Booth fights none other than Bruce Lee (Mike Moh) after getting some unhelpful advice from the martial arts legend.

Netflix Releases Cryptic Teaser for Stranger Things Season 3

“It’s almost feeding time.” This is how the official Stranger Things Twitter feed labeled the season 3 teaser they’ve just released, and you’ll immediately understand why. For those of us who live in New York City, this teaser hits a little too close to home:

The First Toy Story 4 Trailer Asks Life’s Deepest Questions

Cinema has bridged cultural gaps and given a voice to generations. It has touched the depths of our fears and the limits of our imagination. It can challenge, empower, and change minds. With all that movies have given us, I am prepared to make this bold statement without reservation. There will never be a film that asks deeper questions than the Toy Story series.

Don’t @ me.

Toy Story 4 promises to be another heart-wrenching story of love and loss.

Harry Potter Actress Miranda Richardson Joins Game of Thrones Prequel

Harry Potter‘s sinister journalist Rita Skeeter has a new assignment—she’s headed to Westeros. Okay, this isn’t entirely accurate (not that Rita is above mangling the facts)—Rita Skeeter actress Miranda Richardson will be in the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel. TV Line had the scoop, which confirms her joining the top-secret prequel. There’s no word yet on who she’ll play.

The GoT prequel will be set thousands of years before the events in Westeros featured in the current series.

Find 6 Iron Thrones Around the Globe in Game of Thrones Fan Challenge

The Game of Thrones marketing department is fully warging out. Now, a new phase of GoT‘s #ForTheThrone campaign challenges fans to find six actual Iron Thrones hidden around the world.

Captain Marvel VFX Reel Highlights Crazy Cat & Skrull Transformations

If there was one defining theme to Captain Marvel‘s visual effects, it was transformation. Many of the characters (spoiler alert)—including Goose the cat—are not what they appear. That’s most evident in the film’s would-be bad guys, the Skrulls. Their main ability is to transform themselves into any person (or object, apparently) they see. This could be an old lady on a train, a surfer, or Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson.

Avengers: Infinity War Co-Writer Says it Almost Didn’t End That Way

Cliffhangers are losing their power on TV shows. Something shocking may happen, but bingeing has allowed us to fly straight to the resolution in the next episode. Movies, however, are picking up that power. One of the most shocking cliffhangers in a film franchise was irrefutably Avengers: Infinity War.

A lot of momentum was building before the Avengers finally faced off with Thanos. A decade of character development and strength in numbers resulted in one of the biggest defeats in movie history.

Marvel has Wisely Kept Avengers: Endgame Details Limited

Quick, what do you know for sure about Avengers: Endgame from the trailers? We broke down the last (and apparently “final”) trailer here. There was some great stuff in there! The new suits, the new haircuts, the new team member (Captain Marvel, obviously)—but not much by way of actual narrative. We speculated on what those new suits might mean. We followed the rest of the internet’s lead in wondering whether Hawkeye’s daughter is,

New Game of Thrones Video Highlights the Insane Fire Stunts

We are a mere few weeks away from the April 14 season 8 premiere of Game of Thrones. We know how long each episode is. We know how long it takes to turn an actor into a White Walker. And now we know just what it takes to make a series in which dragons routinely burn people alive. The short answer is a record-breaking number of fire stunts.
