Amazing Fan Art Shows Captain Marvel Rising From the Flames
Fan art alert! Where would the world be without artists and fan art to satisfy us until official promotion are released. First by curing us of Hawkeye withdrawals we were experiencing as there was an archer shaped hole in all our hearts when the official Avengers: Infinity War poster was released minus the S.H.I.E.L.D. archer.
Now, new fan art has popped up of Captain Marvel, to help placate fans who are anticipating the release of Marvel’s upcoming film starring Brie Larson.
Broken Down, Dirtied, and Greased Up: Designing the Costumes of A Series of Unfortunate Events
Evil has never had a more sumptuous wardrobe than in Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris), who fancies himself a great actor, utilizes thinly veiled, yet tremendously detailed costumes to fool the show’s dimwitted adults. Costume designer Cynthia Summers created Olaf’s many aliases, as well as the clothing for the rest of the cast, in season two.
“I think it’s wackier,” Summers said of the new episodes.
There is Way More to Steven Spielberg’s Thrilling Ready Player One Than ’80s References
Play the trailer for Ready Player One in any public space, and you’ll likely get one of three reactions. The youngest in the crowd will almost instantly know what you’re watching, and will tell you they can’t wait to see it. Older demographics will automatically recognize the opening strains of the Van Halen’s Jump, and pause just the same. Still others will stop to tell you how fantastic the book was. Ready Player One is one of those rare stories that truly has something for everyone.
Inside the Americans Writer’s Room with Screenwriter Justin Weinberger
Over the past five years—a period that has seen more quality TV than all previous years of televisual output combined—The Americans has established itself as one of television’s smartest dramas (even if the Emmy cognoscenti have been slow to realize it). Now in its sixth and final season, the FX series (starring Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys as undercover Soviet spies living in Washington D.C. during the Cold War) is finally,
Narcos Star & Game of Thrones Standout Pedro Pascal Joins Wonder Woman 2
Pedro Pascal has been sensational on Netflix’s Narcos for the past three years, but most folks still know him best as Oberyn Martell on season four of Game of Thrones. It says something about an actor’s charisma when he can burst onto a massive ensemble show like GoT and stand out. As Martell, Pascal embodied an intriguing melange of fearlessness, recklessness, and, in a revealing conversation with Tyrion,
Black Widow vs. the Black Order in New Avengers: Infinity War TV Spot
With Avengers: Infinity War officially less than a month away, we’re going to be seeing a lot of these brief bursts of new footage, like the one we shared yesterday of a sassy teen Groot and an inspirational T’Challa. Now we’ve got another new TV spot for you, with new sequences sprinkled among moments you’ve seen before (but, like us, probably don’t mind seeing again). The part of this new TV spot that crackles the most is Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) giving a much darker pep talk than T’Challa,
Enter the Samurai: New Westworld Trailer Reveals the World Within & Beyond the Park
Gaining sentience was a dramatic journey for the hosts of Westworld, but the havoc that might come from their combined knowledge looks even more wild. The robots are still seeking answers and don’t always have it right, but the fact that they know to question is truly compelling. The season 2 trailer gives us clues to some of the parks biggest mysteries, and sets up an exciting chapter in the series.
A major theme emerges in the fact that we are seeing a lot of area beyond the park and control center.
Margot Robbie Runs This Neon Town in the New Terminal Trailer
Everyone has someone to kill in the new trailer for Terminal. And some of those people are successful. The trailer takes a 90 degree turn in style from the original teaser. The mysterious introduction that appeared last week seemed serious and sober. Now it’s clear from the new trailer that this movie will dive into dark comedy territory.
We cannot wait to follow Margot Robbie – and all her various aliases – down the wacky and neon lit rabbit hole.
Offred Escaped Gilead in Body, But Maybe Not in Mind in the Handmaid’s Tale Season 2 Trailer
As an adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s thrilling novel, we had a pretty good idea of where the first season of The Handmaid’s Tale was going. There were some newly introduced concepts and characters and a few surprises, but for the most part, the script told a similar story. Both, however, ended with a chilling cliffhanger. Where was Offred (Elisabeth Moss) going? Was Nick (Max Minghella) a member of Mayday or an Eye? In the book,
Robert Downey Jr. Announces Stellar Cast of The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle
The doctor is in and what a patient roster. Robert Downey Jr. has been hanging out alone as the sole cast member of The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, but that has all changed. Downey Jr., who is active on Twitter, announced his new fellow cast members himself.
I am most pleased to announce the stellar voice cast joining me on #TheVoyageofDoctorDolittle. #EmmaThompson @ItsRamiMalek @octaviaspencer #RalphFiennes @kumailn @selenagomez @MrCraigRobinson @carmenejogo @TomHolland1996 #MarionCotillard @RealFDLT @JohnCena pic.twitter.com/GmfjOCqv7w

The Darkest Minds Trailer Reveals Superpowered Teens on the Run
Superheroes aren’t always adults (as Peter Parker has proved), and they’re not always operating in a world that cares for what they have to offer (see Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice). And sometimes, they’re not only not adults nor area they welcome, they’re being actively hunted or imprisoned. This the backdrop in which 20th Century Fox’s new film The Darkest Minds takes place, and a new trailer introduces us to a plucky group of very powerful kids in a story so timely it seems ripped from the headlines (and then filtered through a Marvel comic book).
Gina Rodriguez to Star as Carmen Sandiego in Animated series and Live-Action film
The great Gina Rodriguez is best known for her stellar work on The CW’s Jane the Virgin, yet the last time we saw her taking on a secret assignment, she was playing Anya Thorensen in Alex Garland’s trippy, super intense sci-fi film Annihilation. In that film, Rodriguez shed all remnants of her persona from Jane the Virgin and showed us a raw, vulnerable character who plunged into the mysterious Area X and found some seriously horrifying stuff.
New Footage and More Jokes Highlight Deadpool 2 Green Band Trailer
A new green band trailer and a new international poster? Things are heating up with Deadpool 2‘s marketing push, giving us ever more glimpses at the Merc with the Mouth’s upcoming adventures with his new best friends in the whole world, Domino (Zazie Beetz) and Cable (Josh Brolin). In this new green band trailer, Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson catches us up on everything that happened in the original film in roughly 30 seconds,
Eli Roth Defies Expectations With The House With a Clock in Its Walls
Eli Roth has directed a…children’s movie?
Well, not quite, but the director of Hostel and Cabin Fever‘s latest film, The House With a Clock in Its Walls, is based on a children’s book by novelist John Bellairs (with wonderful illustrations by Edward Gorey), and was produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, so it’s a far cry from the gory films he made his reputation on.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘s Production Designer Recreates 1958-era Manhattan
Production designer Bill Groom doesn’t remember much about 1958. After all, he was just eight years old when the feisty and fictitious Midge Maisel roamed the streets of New York. So when Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Dan Palladino asked him to conjure mid-century Manhattan for their Amazon period piece comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which started streaming on Amazon earlier this month, Groom did what he always does: research. Lots of research.
Groot Sasses and T’Challa Inspires in New Avengers: Infinity War Teaser
The Avengers are our only hope to save the universe. If a heavily armed group of mutants, aliens, superheroes, super minds, and gods can’t stop Thanos (Josh Brolin), who can? And yet, success is not guaranteed. A new Avengers: Infinity War spot threatens that loss is inevitable—we already know for sure one of our favorites won’t be back after Avengers 4. But will the loss come in the battle or the war?
Watch Carrie Fisher Slap Oscar Isaac Silly in Fantastic Star Wars: The Last Jedi Gag Reel
We’ve shared a lot of juicy behind-the-scenes videos from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Like this video about some very good dogs helping them create the crystal foxes), or this one, which includes 11-minutes of footage from the documentary The Director and the Jedi. These morsels of Star Wars goodness began hitting the internet in the lead up to the release of The Last Jedi‘s digital HD became available,
Captain Marvel Brings Three Marvel Characters Back from the Dead
With Disney confirming that Captain Marvel is officially in production, more details are now emerging, and those include the cast list. It looks like three Marvel characters we had said goodbye to are returning, one of whom brings a smile to our face (all three are superb actors, and their involvement is great for the film.)
The first name is a lovable (if a little gruff) character we lost in Josh Whedon’s The Avengers.
Mark Hamill Reveals George Lucas’s Abandoned Ending for Star Wars: Episode IX
When George Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney, he was also letting go of control over his vision of how his epic Skywalker saga, beginning with 1977’s Star Wars, would end. Lucas had given Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm’s president, a treatment for the new trilogy once Disney acquired the rights, but ultimately it was J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan’s vision for The Force Awakens which kicked things off and set the new trilogy in motion.
