Michelle Williams Reprising Role as Anne Weying/She-Venom in Venom 2

One of the best moments from Ruben Fleischer’s 2018’s hit Venom was when the alien symbiote that had, up until then, possessed Anne Weying (Michelle Williams)’s ex-husband Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) glommed onto her. This was right before the film’s big third act fight. Had Anne not become into She-Venom, Eddie Brock would have bit the dust. The results, while brief, were thrilling—She-Venom dispatched a bad guy and helped Eddie get to the bigger fight against Carnage (Woody Harrelson).

This Year’s Emmys Won’t Have a Host

Looks like the host-less awards show is becoming a thing. After the Oscars successfully pulled off a host-by-committee (or, in other words, a host-less) show this past February, the Emmys are now going the same route. Variety reports that Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier confirmed the news on Wednesday morning during the network’s portion of the Television Critics Association press tour. As the September 22 event drew closer, it had become increasingly likely that the Emmys would go this route,

Unpacking the Surprisingly Confusing Fast & Furious Timeline

You might not think that tracking the narrative chronology of the Fast & Furious franchise would be complicated, but it turns out, it is. In fact, in an almost sci-fi twist worthy of Hobbs & Shaw, the narrative chronology of the movies doesn’t match up to the names of the films or when they were released. The third film in the series, Tokyo Drift, would actually be the 6th film in the series narratively—or the 8th film if you were counted the two shorts created for the DVDs in an effort to explain some of these narrative gaps (more on these in a second).

It’s Quentin Tarantino’s dream vision of 1969 Hollywood. So it is only appropriate that working on Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood was a dream come true for makeup department head Heba Thorisdottir.

Fleabag‘s Emmy-Nominated Cinematographer on Crafting a Nearly Flawless Second Season

There’s no such thing as flawless art. Flaws are baked right into anything a human being creates, and often they are hard to disassociate from the strengths that make any art worthwhile. Yet I’ve heard several people call Fleabag‘s second season flawless, and I’ve been hard-pressed to argue the point. Few shows on television are as personal, raw, and fearless as what Phoebe Waller-Bridge has created herewhich is full of its creators’

The Russo Brothers go out of their way to toy with Marvel-heads before their big releases like Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. J.J. Abrams is a big fan of the misdirection and the fakeout, and of course, he’ll be keeping Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker a state secret for as long as necessary.

Now in a new featurette titled “Come Home,” King himself describes the moment at the end of that film when it was revealed to audiences that what they had just witnessed was merely the end of “Chapter One.”
