Watch This Very Special Message From a Pink Deadpool

The reigning king of superhero irreverence is back…in a pink suit? Yup, Deadpool is donning a fabulous new pink number in this very special message, in which the Merc with the Mouth is partnering with Omaze to help fight cancer. This is likely the only call for donations you’ll ever see that is NSFW, but the results of this campaign are very real, and go to a very good cause.

Westworld Website Reveals Details of Mysterious Shogun World

At the very end of the trailer for Westworld‘s second season, we got a glimpse of what many fans have been clamoring for—the Japanese-themed Samurai world—or so we thought it was called. You see an armor clad warrior at the 2-minute mark, followed by Maeve (Thandie Newton) in a kimono, and then a brief shot of a woman in who appears to be a geisha a few seconds later.

Black Panther Passes Frozen to Join Top Ten Highest Grossing Films of All Time

A new week means a new milestone for Ryan Coogler’s world conquering Black Panther. Last week Coogler’s epic film passed The Avengers to become the highest-grossing superhero movie of all time. This week it has just passed Frozen to enter the top ten highest-grossing films in history. Oh, and it also zoomed past Jurassic World to become number four on the all-time domestic charts (without adjustment for inflation.) As we wrote last week (and will likely write again next week): How many different ways can you write “All hail the King“?

Graphic Designer Erica Dorn Sweats the Details for Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs

When Erica Dorn heard Wes Anderson needed a London-based, Japanese-speaking graphic designer for his new stop-motion movie, she jumped from the world of advertising into her first feature film and helped produce the precision-tooled typography, signage, documents and product packaging now on display in Isle of Dogs. Born and raised in Japan, Dorn moved at age 18 to England to study illustration, then worked on branding campaigns. Passing a two-week Isle of Dogs audition,

Get In On an Intense Game of Sabacc in This New Solo: Star Wars Spot for Denny’s

Han Solo is as close as we get to a space cowboy from the Star Wars canon. He’s quick on the trigger, a bit of a troubadour, and he won the Millenium Falcon in a game of poker – er, Sabacc, rather. A new commercial takes us to the table where a rough game of Sabaac is being played. You might think this Collider exclusive is a clip from the Solo: A Star Wars Story,

Kevin Hart is the Class Clown of Tiffany Haddish’s Night School

Have you ever thought about going back to high school? Maybe they were the best days of your life, or maybe they were the worst. Well, Kevin Hart doesn’t seem to have a choice in the first official trailer for his new film, Night School.

Hart stars as a high school dropout who, after an incident involving leaking gas and open flames, finds himself out of a job. As a result,

Thanos Demands No Avengers: Infinity War Spoilers, Or Else

The first rule of Fight Club is: you do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is you do not give away the twist ending. Most true fans make efforts to avoid spoilers, but sometimes the filmmakers themselves get involved. Alfred Hitchcock bought every copy of Robert Bloch’s Psycho to keep audiences from reading that Norman’s mother was dead. Now, the Avengers: Infinity War directors have their own method for dealing with blabbermouth moviegoers.

It’s a Battle of the Greats as Science Fiction’s Biggest Awards Announce Finalists

The Hugo Awards have announced their finalists, and it looks like many of our favorites have made the cut. As science fiction’s most prestigious honor, the Hugo Awards are trademarked by the World Science Fiction Society (WSFS) who hosts the annual World Science Fiction Convention or “Worldcon.” This year the final list of nominees is packed with excellent films, television series and books. Blade Runner 2049, Get Out and The Shape of Water—all three films that walked away with at least one Oscar—are among the names vying for Best Dramatic Presentation,

Fighting Thanos Makes Strange Bedfellows in 11 New Avengers: Infinity War Images

Marvel has just released 11 new photos from Avengers: Infinity War that lends further validity to the ancient proverb “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” Granted, it would be slightly inaccurate to call some of the assembled Avengers, superheroes and superhero adjacent characters enemies, but the last time most of them together, it was in a film subtitled Civil War for a reason. The biggest threat to humanity yet,

Pixar’s Latest Short About a Giggly Chinese Dumpling to Play Before The Incredibles 2

One of the many joys of seeing a Pixar film like The Incredibles 2 in the theater is you get both the fantastic feature film and a Pixar short before it. There have been few sequels in Pixar history not named Toy Story 2 that have been as hotly anticipated as The Incredibles 2, and now fans have one more thing to whet their appetite for the return of the most fantastic family ever—a new Pixar short about a giggly Chinese dumpling called Bao.

Joaquin Phoenix’s Interest in Playing the Joker All About Character, Not Genre

This past February we wrote about a potential dream paring of actor and character: Joaquin Phoenix was potentially eying playing the most iconic villain of all—the Joker. Variety‘s scoop had it that Phoenix was in talks to play the Clown Prince of Chaos for Todd Phillips still untitled Joker origin film, you know, the one being produced by Martin Scorsese. We were excited. This excitement was based not only on Phoenix’s track record for excellence,

Get Caught up on FX’s Mind-Blowing Legion Before Tonight’s Season 2 Premiere

Noah Hawley’s Legion (FX Network) was one of the most ambitious and deeply weird takes on the superhero genre on TV. Fully investing in its central character’s mental instability, Legion‘s season one was a boldly visualized and brilliantly performed head trip. Starring Dan Stevens as David Haller, a troubled you man who was misdiagnosed as a schizophrenic (more on what he really is in a second), Legion‘s first season was as much Kubrick as it was comic book.

Avengers: Infinity War More than Doubles the Number of Avengers in Age of Ultron

And then there were 20+. When Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye founded the Avengers, they probably couldn’t fathom what a fighting force the alliance would become. However, they probably also didn’t imagine a force of evil as monstrous as Thanos. We know it’s all hands on deck for Avengers: Infinity War. Whichever manner you use to total up the number of official members, this is going to be a mega super team.

This is a festival that really digs its horror films, and John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place opened this year’s SXSW in a big way. Zack Snyder Reveals Chilling Reason Superman Was Evil in Batman v Superman ‘Knightmare’ Scene

In one of the most memorable sequences from Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) has a nightmare in which a very evil Superman executes two men on either side of Batman, before ripping off the caped crusader’s cowl and preparing, presumably, to do him in, too. Now referred to as the “Knightmare” scene, it speaks to director Zack Snyder’s very dark vision for what was, at that point,

Ron Howard Reveals Glimpse of Colossal Space Battle in Solo: A Star Wars Story

With Solo: A Star Wars hitting theaters on May 25, we’re all very “patiently” waiting for more information on the film, whether by trailer, image or plot point. We’ve been so patient, in fact, we jumped on this nugget of information that revealed the events in Solo are some of the earliest in the entire Star Wars timeline, including the films, books and animated series. While Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Studios have been keeping promotional material for Solo pretty close to their chests (that didn’t stop us from posting this story on the very different Millennium Falcon seen thus far),

Rey & Finn to Stick Together in Star Wars: Episode IX

When Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) met in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the new era of Star Wars officially began. Finn watched in awe (as did we) when Rey beat up some goons, saved his life (several times in this initial sequence, in fact) and helped them both escape by jumping into an old piece of junk (ahem, the Millennium Falcon) and evade the First Order that was hot on Finn’s tail.
