Cruel Catharsis in Game of Thrones Finale “The Iron Throne”

*This is a recap of the finale of Game of Thrones, spoiling said finale if you haven’t seen it.*

Jon Snow, Queenslayer. Bran Stark (now somewhat rudely dubbed Bran the Broken), Ruler of the Six Kingdoms. Bronn of High Garden, Master of Coin (!?). The series finale of Game of Thrones bestowed old friends with new titles, altered lives, and the suddenly unavoidable (and largely predictable) downfall of Daenerys Targaryen.

Evil Targets The Warren’s Daughter in First Annabelle Comes Home Trailer

If the Warrens say that something is dangerously possessed by an evil spirit, you had better believe them. Of course, people never listen and the creepiest doll on the planet breaks loose again in Annabelle Comes Home.

The Warrens keep the most dangerous items from their cases under strict lock and key to protect the public from curses and demons. However, they cannot protect people from their own stupidity in a new trailer for Annabelle Comes Home.

It’s a Colossal Scrum in new Godzilla: King of the Monsters Trailer

When the monsters rise, we are completely at their mercy. A new Godzilla: King of the Monsters trailer plays on the beauty and terror of nature.

Any new natural phenomenon we don’t understand can be beautiful until the destructive implications are revealed. A magnificent “light show” is the source of a gorgeous blue glow, but its source is potentially deadly. As a group of scientists look on in wonder,

Here are the Official Game of Thrones Episode Runtimes

In just under a month our long national nightmare will be over. Game of Thrones will be returning for its 8th and final season, with only six episodes until the battle between the living and the dead is resolved once and for all. While the trailer gave us plenty to think about, one thing we’ve long wanted to know is how long, exactly, these episodes are going to be.

Are Things as Happy-Go-Lucky for Shazam As They Appear in New Trailer?

Being super takes practice. In the latest trailer for Shazam, Billy Batson (Asher Angel) acquires his powers overnight, but it will take a lot longer to figure out how to use them.

We haven’t seen a trailer for the kid superhero movie since San Diego Comic Con last summer. The fun new look at the teenager transformation movie shows that being endowed with extraordinary abilities by a wizard doesn’t come with a handbook.

See More of Avengers: Endgame On an IMAX Screen

If you go to see Avengers: Endgame in a regular movie theater, you’ll be missing about a quarter of the movie. We aren’t talking time-wise, of course, but rather aspect ratio.

The last stand against Thanos was filmed on epic proportions. IMAX released a side by side video today of the first Endgame trailer illustrating how much more you’ll get on one of their screens. About 26% of the movie is cut off on top and bottom to fit standard movie screens and it really does make a difference.

A Parade of Pokémon Pop Up in New Detective Pikachu Trailer

There is a LOT to catch in the new Detective Pikachu trailer. The adventure mystery is going to be packed with all of our favorite Pokémon and each and every one looks glorious.

Apparently, humans living side by side with Pokémon companions is not strange to Tim Goodman (Justice Smith). It isn’t until a talking Pikachu (Ryan Reynolds) shows up that things seem really off. He’s got a little body, but a big attitude and an even bigger mystery to solve.

International Us Trailer is a Trail of Terrifying Images

Is the Wilson family hitting some bad luck? Or is there truly someone out to get them? A new international trailer for Us reveals even more freaky footage of the unsettling imposter movie.

The two-minute look at the film promises terror after terror. A family beach vacation with a few strange events leaves Adelaide (Lupita Nyong’o) feeling uneasy, but the nightmare has just begun. No one likes being replaced,

The 91st Academy Awards was a hot night for trailers, and Netflix did not miss the opportunity. The streaming service chose to reveal a surprise teaser for The Irishman. The upcoming crime drama directed by Martin Scorsese reunites him with leading man Robert De Niro.

As you can see, there’s no actual footage of the film. This has only increased the hype, with the teaser immediately trending on YouTube and social media.

Can You Spot All the Iconic Easter Eggs in the First Twilight Zone Trailer?

This is it. The universe has shifted and that mysterious door is opening once more. Watch the new trailer carefully and ask yourself this question. Do you dare cross over into The Twilight Zone?

As you can see, I am a TZ junkie. I own all five seasons on DVD and then bought them again on digital. There didn’t used to be any of these measly 13-episode seasons either.

Godzilla Is The Size of a Mountain in New King of the Monsters TV Spot

There is no longer any wonder as to what lies beneath. Bursting from below ground, monsters, allies, and enemies surface in the latest TV spot for Godzilla: King of the Monsters. These ancient beasts will not quietly crawl out of the ocean. They are determined to make a much more dramatic entrance.

The 2014 Godzilla was a bit of a slow burn with MUTOs nesting underground. Of course,

First Trailer for Danny Boyle’s Yesterday Re-Writes Beatles History

I have had this thought experiment so many times and now wish I had put pen to paper. What if you were the only person in the world who knew the greatest songs ever written? Would it matter if you didn’t actually write them?

The latest from director Danny Boyle appears to be a refreshing and charming new love story about becoming the biggest star in the world via someone else’s creativity. We all wish we were John,

The Wilsons Face Deadly Doppelgängers in New Us TV Spot

The trailers for Us just get crazier and crazier. Jordan Peele knows how to drill straight to the heart of terror.

For Get Out it was a fate worse than death. Can anyone honestly drink out of a teacup again without fearing they’ll be pulled into The Sunken Place? The body snatching while still sentient horror made us afraid of something we didn’t even know to be scared of until he wrote it.

Watch Game of Thrones Fans Create a Cersei Pancake & More

The theme song played perfectly on a violin. A young woman dressed up as Daenerys Targaryen eating what appears to be a heart. Another woman’s painstaking recreation of King’s Landing, by hand, with paper. The theme song again—this time on electric guitar. A lovingly handcrafted dragon. An impressive depiction of Cersei Lannister—via pancake. These are some of the tributes Game of Thrones fans have created for their favorite show, all captured in this minute-long video and released by HBO on their official Game of Thrones YouTube page.

Meet Robot Chucky in the First Child’s Play Trailer

My greatest childhood terror is getting a hi-tech makeover. The first trailer for the Child’s Play remake reintroduces the doll of our nightmares with a 21st-century twist.

An overly optimistic advertisement introduces a robotic companion for kids. Obviously, a good idea. The plot is not overly stated here, which is appreciated, but we’re picking up on a single mom trying to cheer up her loner kid who is being bullied. The gift is immediately a little more invasive than anyone expected as it scans the poor boy’s face running a bright laser over his eyes.

What We Do In the Shadows Trailer Introduces New Breed of Vampire

Don’t believe in vampires? Here is a new theory that could make you a believer. According to the first full trailer for the What We Do in the Shadows spinoff series, not all vampires drink blood. there is an entire breed that survives by boring people to death. We all know them and are now going to be certain that they exist. Mostly in our offices.

These “energy vampires” are a highlight of the preview for the new series that appears to capitalize on all the things that were great about the original movie.

Watch Jordan Peele Cross Over Into The Twilight Zone

Last night’s Super Bowl game was a little strange. At times it felt as though we may have crossed over into The Twilight Zone. That low score was real, but we did get one brief glimpse of dimensions beyond when Jordan Peele took to the field in a new promo for the upcoming reboot.

The Twilight Zone teaser cut into the Super Bowl broadcast drawing us from normalcy to the strange and unusual just as characters in the classic show did.

The New Us Trailer Is Supremely Unnerving

The latest Us trailer will have you seeing sinister intent in every coincidence for the rest of our day. A series of unsettling images that seem a little too perfect and a lot too creepy are the next window we have into the world of Jordan Peele’s upcoming thriller.

When things start to unfold rather conveniently on a family beach vacation, Adelaide Wilson (Lupita Nyong’o) begins to suspect things may be about to go wrong.

Life’s a Party for Matthew McConaughey in The Beach Bum Trailer

Surf’s up, dude! Or…down? All of life’s pertinent questions will hopefully be answered in The Beach Bum, a sun-kissed, drug-filled comedy from the writer and director of Spring Breakers, Harmony Korine. In The Beach Bum, McConaughey plays Moondog, “a rebellious rogue who always lives life by his own rules.” Not convinced yet? Check out the trailer below:

Alright, alright, alright! Another Oscar nomination for McConaughey,
