HBO’s Timely Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds Doc Bright Lights Premieres Jan 7

Last year ended with the unexpected deaths of both Carrie Fisher (read our obit for her here) and her mother, Debbie Reynolds, just a day later. In a year that included the deaths of many icons, from David Bowie and Prince to Leonard Coen and Gene Wilder, losing both Fisher and Reynolds at the very end of the year felt unduly cruel.

Yet there is also much to celebrate in the lives of these two extremely talented women,

Inside the Epic Finale of Westworld

We'll have to wait until 2018 to find out how the thrilling events in Westworld's epic 90-minute finale, "The Bicameral Mind" play out. Obviously, if you haven't seen the finale, stop reading.

If there's one thing that seemed apparent throughout the entirety of Westworld's first season, it was that Dr. Ford (Anthony Hopkins) was always several moves ahead of everyone else. It was apparent in nearly every scene he was in,

Drink Like a Game of Thrones Character

Of all the guilty pleasures provided by HBO's juggernaut Game of Thrones one has been making of yourself a Tyrion (or a less lethal Cersei) and enjoying a glass or two of wine while watching the show. For all the dragons, swords, betrayal, sex, and death depicted over the course of the show's wild six seasons, one of the other constants has been drinking. Tyrion drinks (a lot), as does Cersei,

Westworld: The Truth About Bernard

If you haven't seen last week's episode of Westworld"The Well-Tempered Clavier," stop reading now.

Still here? Fantastic. Let's dig in.

One of this season's biggest reveals was that Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright), the menschy, brilliant programmer and number two to Dr. Ford (Anthony Hopkins), is a robot. The revelation came in the gut-wrenching coda to an episode in which he dispatched his love interest Theresea (Sidse Babett Knudsen) at the behest of Ford,

One DP Visualizes Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and now Iron Fist

He’s the go to cinematographer for Marvel's crop of Netflix shows, focusing on a new breed of super-flawed superheroes. First Manuel Billeter filmed private eye Jessica Jones in muted tones appropriate to her downbeat Hell's Kitchen environs. Inside Westworld‘s Game-Changing Scene

Did you catch last week's episode of Westworld? If not, read no further—spoiler alert.

Okay, so you caught the seventh episode of Westworld this past Sunday, and perhaps you had a similar experience to one people across the country felt as Theresa (Sidse Babett Knudsen) was flipping through some robot designs in Dr. Ford's (Anthony Hopkins) secret lab—no, please no, anyone but Bernard (Jeffrey Wright). When Theresa shows Bernard the schematic she's found—a robot that looks

Hair & Makeup: Meet the People who Transform SNL Stars

Saturday Night Live is an institution, and that's always felt particularly keenly during presidential election years. This season, of course, we've witnessed Kate McKinnon and Alec Baldwin transform into Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Their performances have been, in short, hysterical. The nuances of their impersonations, from McKinnon's compassionate take on Hillary's struggles with connecting with audiences, and Baldwin's spot-on physical incarnation of Trump (the pursed lips,

Netflix Horror I am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House Debuts Trailer

There’s been a lot of bad stuff happening in houses this year. The Conjuring 2 and Don’t Breathe come to mind, for example. Those are houses we wouldn’t want to spend a single minute in. And now, right before Halloween, Netflix is releasing Oz Perkins’s (yup, he is in deed the son of Anthony) horror film I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, which will debut on October 28.
