First Wonder Woman 1984 Trailer Reveals Diana’s Dangerous New Life

The first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 is finally here. Director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot have brought Diana Prince a long, long way from the World War I setting of the first film, bringing the lasso of truth slinging superheroine into an era of shoulder pads, big hair, and New Order’s “Blue Monday” to name a few cultural touchstones. The trailer was released at CCXP, where Jenkins and Gadot were on hand to promote their hotly anticipated sequel.

De-Aging the Iconic Actors of Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman

In 2015, visual effects supervisor Pablo Helman was working with Martin Scorsese on Silence, a stirring film about the Christian faith during 17th century Japan. The two ended up having a conversation that ignited a technological advancement within the visual effects industry—one that will likely become a new standard in how images can be captured and processed during filmmaking.

“We were talking about a project and I mentioned making one of the characters younger.

Unraveling Marriage Story with Editor Jennifer Lame

It was well past 9 pm on a Sunday night when the word “hello” drifted through the speaker of my phone. On the line was editor Jennifer Lame who pulled herself away from Christopher Nolan’s action-thriller Tenet.

“It’s nice speaking with you again,” she said in an even-tempered tone. A tone very unlike the characters in Marriage Story from writer/director Noah Baumbach that dissects the inevitable split between spouses Nicole (Scarlett Johansson) and Charlie (Adam Driver).

Watch The Witcher Showrunner & Executive Producer Breakdown the Final Trailer

What’s better than watching the final trailer for The Witcher? Watching an 8-minute breakdown of that trailer from showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich and executive producer Tomek Baginski. Who better to take apart and explain each and every element from the trailer than the folks responsible for getting Netflix’s ambitious new fantasy series made in the first place?

For those of you who haven’t yet decided on whether to invest in another sprawling fantasy series,

4 New Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Images Include Flying Stormtroopers

You’ve heard about the flying Stormtroopers. You’ve seen the TV spots that include the flying Stormtroopers. And now you can feast your eyes on this still image of a flying Stormtrooper at the moment he launches himself from the also new land-based sand cruiser (our name). We are very, very close to the December 20 premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, hence the absolute deluge of promotional material we’ve gotten in the past two weeks.

Who Was the Real James Bond?

Today is unofficially James Bond Day. That’s because we got our first glimpse at the trailer for No Time to Die, the 25th installment in the Bond franchise. Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and starring Daniel Craig in his fifth mission as Bond, James Bond. Beginning with 2006’s Casino Royale, Craig has embodied the super spy in Quantum of Silence (2008), Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015),

8 New No Time to Die Photos Highlight Bond’s Return to Action

You’ve seen the first trailer for No Time to Die. Maybe a few times. You’re trying to process all that Bond action and situate it against what came before. You’re also thinking about how awesome it’s going to be to see Bond work with (and likely quarrel with) Latasha Lynch’s Nomi, a new 00 agent who has risen in the ranks since we last left Bond at the end of Spectre.

The First No Time to Die Trailer Reveals Epic Bond Action

And we’re off! The first official trailer for co-writer and director Cary Joji Fukunaga’s No Time to Die is here, and it reveals the kind of epic Bond action you’d hope for. Daniel Craig is back as 007, and from this two-and-a-half-minute glimpse, it looks like he’s found yet another great collaborator in Fukunaga. The director of True Detective‘s excellent first season and Beasts of No Nation knows a thing or two about riveting action scenes.

New Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker TV Spot Reveals Rey vs. Kylo Duel

At this point perhaps you’re hoping to just put the blinders on and not see another piece of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker promo material. We get that. With the December 20 premiere date heading towards us faster than the Millennium Falcon in hyperdrive, we’ve been getting a lot of fresh TV spots. Yet for those of us who can’t help ourselves (or write about this for a living), every spot offers a glimpse of something new from the 9th and final installment in the Skywalker Saga.

Rami Malek’s Bond Villain Revealed in new No Time to Die Posters

Yesterday we got the teaser. Tomorrow we’ll get the trailer. Today, we get a bunch of new posters from No Time to Die, the 25th installment in the venerable Bond franchise. The new posters give us a look at our main characters—minus a Ralph Fiennes’ M here and a Naomie Harris’s Moneypenny there. Who we do have are James Bond himself (Daniel Craig, obviously), Léa Seydoux’s Madeline Swann,

Let’s Discuss That Epic Twist in Watchmen‘s Brilliant Episode “An Almost Religious Awe”

Last week we interviewed Watchmen costume designer Megan Kasperlik about her brilliant work on one of TV’s most thrilling new shows. In the world of Watchmen, what a character wears tells you a lot. Does their mask have an inkblot on it? Then they’re a part of the white supremacist group the 7th Calvary. Does her mask come with a badge? Then you’re talking about someone like Angela Abar (Regina King),

After a sixteen-year hiatus, the sorority, camaraderie, and crime-fighting of Charlie’s Angels is back, newly helmed by Elizabeth Banks, who also wrote the script and plays one of the movie’s chief supporting roles. No longer reporting to a Los Angeles-based Charlie, the Angels are taking on lawlessness around the globe for the Townsend Agency, supported by a gaggle of Bosleys (played by Patrick Stewart, Djimon Hounsou, and Banks). At the heart of the caper is Elena (Naomi Scott),

The Thrilling Black Widow Trailer Reveals a Pre-Avenger Natasha Romanoff

Many folks have been waiting for a stand-alone Black Widow film for a long time—we’re among them. When Marvel finally revealed that Scarlett Johansson’s super-spy would, in fact, be getting her own movie, there was plenty of reason to rejoice. Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff has been one of the most compelling characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a former KGB super-spy who somehow broke free from her former captors/trainers and, after a very long and winding road,

We are very much looking forward to the official trailer for No Time to Die, the 25th installment in the Bond franchise, which arrives this Wednesday. Fukunaga will unveil the official trailer during his appearance on Good Morning America in two days.

In Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck’s Frozen II, sisters Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kristen Bell) are back, older and wiser and reunited for good. Flying Stormtroopers & Rey’s Jedi Mind Trick Highlight new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker TV Spot

We’ve seen Rey (Daisy Ridley) take out Praetorian Guards, best Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in a lightsaber duel, and generally exhibit an incredible amount of Force ability since she burst on the scene in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015. Yet in this new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker clip, we get to see her use a Jedi mind trick for the first time.

Leia Holds a Lightsaber in new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Spot

When Carrie Fisher passed away on December 27, 2016, the world lost not only an incredible actress but also a sensational writer—and one of the funniest, most bracingly honest talents in Hollywood. For the world of Star Wars, Fisher’s passing meant that her most iconic role of all—Leia Organa—would now possibly have her arc handled off-screen, a deeply sad development for one of the franchise’s most important characters.

Costume Designer

Watchmen’s Costume Designer Meghan Kasperlik on This Extraordinary Series

Now that Watchmen has made its glorious debut on HBO and confounded just about every expectation, we can say with confidence that Damon Lindelof’s adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons iconic graphic novel is a remarkable testament to the original and a bold, powerful piece of original storytelling itself. The reason is Lindelof and his incredible team of writers, directors, actors, and crew hasn’t adapted the graphic novel itself,

Tom Hiddleston Watching his Thor Audition is Hilarious

Tom Hiddleston has been one of the most reliably delightful figures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since he first made his sneering entrance as Loki in Joss Whedon’s game-changing Avengers in 2012. Yet did you know Hiddleston actually auditioned for the role of Thor? The two Asgardian brothers really couldn’t be more different. Loki, as the trickster God, is not only a morally vacuous opportunist, he’s also willowy, dark-haired, and petulant. Thor, of course,
