Actor Alex Jennings On The Lady in the Van, his New Netflix Show & More

Alex Jennings is no stranger to playing real-life characters on stage or on screen. He was Prince Charles in Stephen Frears’s 2006 movie The Queen with Helen Mirren and is playing The Duke of Windsor in Peter Morgan’s upcoming 10-episode series The Crown for Netflix — a role that just might make this longtime star of the British stage better known to audiences stateside.

Behold the Bleak Game of Thrones Season 6 Teasers

By the end of season five, things were bad for just about every major house in Westeros. The major players in the Starks, Lannisters and Targaryens houses spent season five in various states of mutilation, rebellion and exile. And now with three new teasers, GOT is reminding us just how bad things truly are for these once proud Westeros powerhouses.

For the Starks, when have things not been bad?

10 Episodes to Get Caught up on the X-Files Before Sunday’s Premiere

And while reboots might strike fear in the hearts of many, this ground-breaking, well-reviewed and highly-rated show seems fitting, considering it changed the landscape of television before the cable explosion and putting the network on the map. It premieres this Sunday, January 24, at 10ET/7PT.

You Can Watch SyFy’s The Magicians Pilot

Syfy's been in a giving mood. During Christmas, they shared an early look at the pilot episode for their new fantasy series The Magicians. Don't worry if you missed it, because SyFy has just put the pilot online for your viewing pleasure.

Here's a quick primer: The Magicians is based on the trilogy of novels by Lev Grossman, critical and commercial hits. The series followed Quentin Coldwater (it's impossible not to describe him as a grownup Harry Potter),

Composer Paul Englishby on What Luther and Queen Elizabeth Have in Common

If you haven't watched BBC America series Luther, we recommend you put that on your watch list. The show stars a sensational Idris Elba as the titular detective, a near-genuis whose skill at solving crimes is almost undone by his violent passion. The show's a potent mixture of brains and brawn, which Elba carries with ease. We recently had the chance to chat with the artist responsible for the cult series’ hauntingly edgy score, Paul Englishby.

Your Golden Globes Video Highlights

Tales of revenge and survival were your two big best picture winners, while an old favorite, 40-years his past his prime (in boxing terms, that is) won for best supporting actor. It was a night filled with some genuinely earnest (and wonderful) acceptance speeches, sprinkled amid the usual louche behavior of an irreverent host and some tippled guests. Let's take a look at the highlights.

The night began with host Ricky Gervais opening the show by thanking the Hollywood Foreign Press for the opportunity to host again,

The Golden Globes Menu: Eat Like a Star

The award season is officially kicking off this Sunday, January 10th, with the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards. The question is not only who will win, but what to serve? As we are all still recovering from New Year’s (and our short-lived health resolutions), it is tough to come up with just the right offering for our very sated guests.

The chefs at the Beverly Hilton Hotel share your dilemma. They have announced the menu that will be placed in front of Hollywood’s elite.

John Boyega & Brie Larson get BAFTA Noms, Ricky Gervais on Hosting the Globes & More

Your 2016 Golden Globes host, Ricky Gervais, has notoriously used his previous Globes gigs to lampoon (or eviscerate, depending upon your perspective) everyone from Hollywood royalty to the universally loved Steve Carrell (this bit was hilarious—he roasted Carrell for being so "amazing" on The Office, a show he created). Gervais has routinely blasted the Globes itself, like in this quip; "For any of you who don't know, the Golden Globes are just like the Oscars,

The Walking Dead Drops Midseason Premiere Trailer

For us The Walking Dead fans, we've still got a bit of a slog until we get to the midseason premiere, which airs on Feburary 14. Until then, you can satiate your appetite for brains and blood and Rick Grimes' (Andrew Lincoln) Mad Hatter-like leadership over the citizens of Alexandria. If the midseason trailer is any indication, things are about to get even bleaker for the little burb in the midst of a zombie hellscape.

F.U. in 2016: The Eerily Realistic House of Cards Season 4 Promo

Did you watch last night's Republican presidential debate? Do you ever find yourself remarking how similar politics are to high school? Do you find political ads cheesy, manipulative, and depressing? Then you're going to love House of Cards promo for season 4, which nails all of these things in one 30 second spot.
