Safeguarding Creativity

Copyright is the bedrock of the film, television, and streaming industry. It’s also a great equalizer. If you create art, it’s automatically protected by copyright, enabling you to get paid for your work. The MPA has long fought for copyright protections as a way to protect the rights of the millions of people who create content for a living. Each of us deserves to be remunerated for our work; so, too, do the millions of people who work in the film, TV, and streaming industry. To that end, copyright protects the work of everyone we profile, including all the lesser-known talents in the creative community.
