Opening with the world’s most symbolic player piano, the Westworld season two trailer that debuted at Comic-Con this past weekend is a glorious melange of intriguing stand-alone images that upend a lot of what you might have expected. While we’ve previously written about how creators and showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy had hinted at a non-linear timeline for season two, there are shots in this trailer that look like they depict the aftermath of the hosts’

Comic-Con 2017: Check out the Epic Avengers: Infinity War Poster

Comic-Con 2017: Watch the Four Minute Long Justice League Trailer

With the insanely awesome success of Wonder Woman, both critically and commercially (the film has grossed over $770 million worldwide) it stands to reason that Gal Gadot’s sensational Diana Prince is now the most popular member of the Justice League, that includes the beloved fan favorite Batman. So, when DC delivered a brand new trailer, more than four minutes long, mind you, Wonder Woman is front and center in the action.

Comic-Con 2017: Black Panther Footage Wows Hall H

Marvel Studios knows how to harness the power of Comic-Con perhaps better than anyone. The amount of energy and excitement during their Black Panther panel, which included new footage from the film, was a masterclass in making the most of your time in San Diego. It helps when you have a super hot project like Black Panther, with a rising star in writer/director Ryan Coogler and an insanely fantastic cast. While the footage won’t be online for a while,

Game of Thrones Recap: “Stormborn”

Well, Game of Thrones season seven has their first official villain (not counting Cersei, or the Night’s King, or the ice giant Wun Wun), and it’s Euron Greyjoy. Granted, in Westeros, “bad” is mostly relative, but when someone comes around who really likes killing, your Ramsay Boltons or your Mountains, you can credibly chalk them up in the villain category, and Euron Greyjoy is most certainly a villain. The second episode of the seventh episode,

We’ll take even the briefest look at John Boyega in Pacific Rim: Uprising when we can get it. And finally, we’ve got it.  Boyega plays Jake Pentecost in the sequel to Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 original, in which massive, human-led Jaegers (mountain-sized robots, more or less) fought off legions of monstrous creatures called Kaiju. In Uprising, the war between humans and Kaiju rages on, and Boyega’s Pentecost will be one of the heroes humanity looks to stop the monsters.

The Beguiled Art Director Sets the Scene for Beauty and Terror

The dilapidated Civil War era girls’ school you see in the intriguing Sofia Coppola remake of The Beguiled is actually a pristinely manicured historic plantation in New Orleans. On seeing the film, you won’t even recognize that the house was also used in Beyonce’s Lemonade. Art Director Jennifer Dehghan and her team are responsible for the transformation that included reverse landscaping to create an overgrown look,

New Game of Thrones “Stormborn” Images Hint at Questions of Trust

Game of Thrones‘ season 7 premiere, “Dragonstone,” set the table in a major way. It gave us Arya’s quest towards King’s Landing, stopping off at House Frey to put an end to Walder Frey’s entire lineage. It supplied some major tension within King’s Landing between Cersei and Jaime, as well as some tart repartee between Jon Snow and Sansa in Winterfell over how best to prepare for the coming war.

Game of Thrones Showrunners’ Next Series at HBO is Confederate

While we prepare for the end of Game of Thrones, we’ve braced ourselves with the comforting news that there are up to four potential Game of Thrones spinoffs/prequels being written. This thought has been like a summer day in High Garden while we face down the dead of winter that is the show’s end.

While GOT may likely live on in some version, what we’ve also known is that series’ showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff are likely going to move on from any day-to-day decision making with whatever GOT-related shows come next.
