Comic-Con 2017: Deadpool 2‘s Stefan Kapaici Says Expect More Colossus
The 6’4″ German-born Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic made a name for himself in last year’s smash-hit Deadpool, playing the surprisingly moral, metal-covered Colossus, a member of the X-men. Colossus was not only hugely helpful to the Merc with the Mouth (Ryan Reynolds), he was also the film’s moral center and straight man. It was Colossus and his partner, the Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hilderbrand) who teamed up with Deadpool in an effort to fight Ajax (Ed Skrein) and save Vanessa (Morena Baccarin)...

Comic-Con 2017: Production Designers From Black Panther, Spider-Man: Homecoming & More
“How many of you love the movies because they look so goddamn cool?” Production designer John Muto (Home Alone, River’s Edge) already knew the answer. “The audience doesn’t pay money to sit in the dark and look at drab images.”
Everyone loves movies because they look cool, and that was especially true of the people who came to Muto’s panel on production design. “You know those images that get buried in your lizard brain,” he asked...

Game of Thrones Recap: “Stormborn”
Well, Game of Thrones season seven has their first official villain (not counting Cersei, or the Night’s King, or the ice giant Wun Wun), and it’s Euron Greyjoy. Granted, in Westeros, “bad” is mostly relative, but when someone comes around who really likes killing, your Ramsay Boltons or your Mountains, you can credibly chalk them up in the villain category, and Euron Greyjoy is most certainly a villain. The second episode of the seventh episode, “Stormborn,” ended with Euron Greyjoy bringing fire and blood down upon his niece Yara’s fleet,...

The Beguiled Art Director Sets the Scene for Beauty and Terror
The dilapidated Civil War era girls’ school you see in the intriguing Sofia Coppola remake of The Beguiled is actually a pristinely manicured historic plantation in New Orleans. On seeing the film, you won’t even recognize that the house was also used in Beyonce’s Lemonade. Art Director Jennifer Dehghan and her team are responsible for the transformation that included reverse landscaping to create an overgrown look, covering any signs of modernity,...
New Game of Thrones “Stormborn” Images Hint at Questions of Trust
Game of Thrones‘ season 7 premiere, “Dragonstone,” set the table in a major way. It gave us Arya’s quest towards King’s Landing, stopping off at House Frey to put an end to Walder Frey’s entire lineage. It supplied some major tension within King’s Landing between Cersei and Jaime, as well as some tart repartee between Jon Snow and Sansa in Winterfell over how best to prepare for the coming war. We caught up with the Hound (still grumpy,...
