Lisanne Skyler on her Warhol HBO Doc Brillo Box (3¢ OFF)

Most people are familiar with the groundbreaking artistry of the late Andy Warhol, known for replicating the packaging of popular consumer products. For filmmaker and documentarian Lisanne Skyler, Warhol’s take on pop culture hit close to home, even in it. Skyler’s parents bought a Warhol “Brillo Box (3¢ off)” for $1,000 in 1969 — managing to get him to sign it — and displayed it in their house for two years before trading it for another artwork.

Thor: Ragnarok‘s Tessa Thompson Talks Post-Credits Scenes

The Last Game of Thrones Scripts Have Already Been Written

We are only two episodes into season seven, but all of Game of Thrones final six scripts for season eight have already been written. The only thing HBO and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have yet to announce is a season 8 premiere date.

The final four episodes of the series were penned by Benioff and Weiss, with Dave Hill writing season 8’s premiere and Bryan Cogman writing the second episode.

It’s Official—Wonder Woman 2 is Coming in 2019

How good was Wonder Woman? So good, The Hollywood Reporter writes that Warner Bros. has earmarked a major release date for the sequel—December 13, 2019—right in the heart of the holiday season. While the film’s star, Gal Gadot, and director, Patty Jenkins, have yet to ink their deals, the two will almost definitely be returning after their smashing debut this past May.

How Emmy Nominated Queen Sugar and 13th DP Kira Kelly is Breaking the Mold

It was a no brainer for cinematographer Kira Kelly to take the call when director Ava DuVernay sought her out. The project they initially discussed didn’t pan out, but Kelly was soon tapped for DuVernay’s stirring documentary 13th. Kelly’s mesmerizing work was the perfect fit for the high pressure interviewees she filmed and earned her an Emmy nomination alongside her co-DP Hans Charles. Following the success of 13th, DuVernay brought Kelly on to season two of her hit show Queen Sugar.

Comic-Con 2017: Deadpool 2‘s Stefan Kapaici Says Expect More Colossus

The 6’4″ German-born Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic made a name for himself in last year’s smash-hit Deadpool, playing the surprisingly moral, metal-covered Colossus, a member of the X-men. Colossus was not only hugely helpful to the Merc with the Mouth (Ryan Reynolds), he was also the film’s moral center and straight man. It was Colossus and his partner, the Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hilderbrand) who teamed up with Deadpool in an effort to fight Ajax (Ed Skrein) and save Vanessa (Morena Baccarin).

Daniel Craig to Return as James Bond in 2019

The New York Times Brooks Barnes reports that Daniel Craig will be returning as James Bond in the franchise’s 25th film, due in theaters in November 8, 2019. Barnes writes that Eon Productions, the London-based company that holds the rights to the Bond franchise, said the script will be penned by longtime Bond scribes Robert Wade and Neal Purvis. The two have written every Bond script sicne 1999’s The World is Not Enough.

Comic-Con 2017: Production Designers From Black Panther, Spider-Man: Homecoming & More

“How many of you love the movies because they look so goddamn cool?”  Production designer John Muto (Home Alone, River’s Edge) already knew the answer. “The audience doesn’t pay money to sit in the dark and look at drab images.”
