Russo Brothers Share Mysterious Image as Avengers 4 Officially Wraps

Okay internet sleuths, do your best. The Russo Brothers have shared the below image of a glowing white…something. Much like the last image they shared, this one is meant to bring out the inner Sherlock Holmes in us all, while also, just maybe, having a little fun at our expense. The last image they shared may have held hidden clues to what Avengers 4 title will be, while this new image, used to announce the official end of production on the film, promises to be an even harder puzzle to crack. Folks have already tried darkening the image, zooming in, using Google lens, changing the contrast, and taking wild stabs at what it could mean, from being the capsule at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. that held Adam Warlock to a regular old proton cannon. Have a look and let us know if you’ve got any clever ideas:

The most important thing to note is that with production officially wrapped, that means the film’s ending has been shot. Unsurprisingly, the Russo Brothers had been keeping the enter super secret, even from the cast, much like they did with their now iconically depressing ending to Infinity War. [The cast didn’t know how Infinity War was going to end until they showed up on set the film the scene.] The finale for the Phase 3-ending Avengers 4 wasn’t shot until very recently, with Mark Ruffalo himself revealing that the cast wasn’t even aware of how the film ended well into shooting reshoots:

“[We] don’t even know what it’s gonna be yet. We’re not just doing reshoots, we’re going to finish the movie, which we really didn’t get to finish totally when we left it last year.”

We already know for sure that Avengers 4 marks the end for Chris Evans’ Captain America, so there’s a ton of speculation that Cap will be making the ultimate sacrifice to bring his buddies back and put an end to Thanos in the new film. Whatever that glowing thing is that the Russo Brothers shared, you can be fairly sound in making one definitive prediction: Avengers 4‘s ending is going to be epic.
