Terminator: Dark Fate Buzz: Best Film in the Franchise Since T2: Judgement Day

Today has been all about good early buzz. First came the news about how much journalists who saw some footage for The Mandalorian are loving Disney +’s upcoming new series, the first-ever live-action Star Wars show. Now, the initial reactions surrounding Tim Miller’s Terminator: Dark Fate have surfaced, and they, too, are really positive.

There are a few themes you’ll notice in the reactions. One is that Linda Hamilton’s return to the franchise is absolutely key to the success and joy of Dark Fate. Sarah Connor returns (as does Arnold Schwarzenegger as a grizzled, “retired” Terminator who goes by the name Carl) when a new threat arrives in the form of Gabriel Luna’s brutally efficient Terminator. Another theme you’ll notice is how thrilled people are about Mackenzie Davis’s Grace, a machine fighter who seems to be every bit as tough as Hamilton’s legendary Connor. Sarah Connor, Grace, and “Carl” team up to help Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes), who is the target that Luna’s Terminator is out to destroy.

Let’s take a tour across Twitter for a spoiler-free look at the early reactions. Terminator: Dark Fate hits theaters on November 1, 2019.
