The Secret Weapons That May Be Hiding in the Avengers: Endgame Trailer

It is Avengers mania this week with a new poster and a new trailer and tons of new clues to dissect. With the magnificent arrival of Captain Marvel, we are ready for the finale of the biggest MCU phase yet.

We lost so many good members of the team in the snap, but Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) are strong supplements in this bleak time. As glad as we are to see them, we were actually expecting their arrival. There is one mysterious face in the trailer, however, we didn’t see coming.

One of the most emotional parts of the new trailer is seeing flashbacks to happier times in the life of each Avenger. For Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) that is a beautiful day at target practice training a young girl to shoot. She nails the bullseye and obviously has a talent for archery. But, who is she? The Internet is split over whether it is a family moment between Clint Barton and his daughter, Lila. The more prevalent theory, however, is that it is Kate Bishop – heir to the Hawkeye title.

While Bishop’s arrival hasn’t been confirmed, we think it’s a pretty good guess. The moment in the field is an obvious flashback, so the girl would be older now. Our suspicions are heightened by Katherine Langford’s mystery role. She would be perfect to succeed Clint as the best archer in the Avengers. She is obviously not the young lady in the flashback scene, but depending on when it happened, our money is on Langford being the adult version of this character.

While it’s great we have these talented and powerful people together, they may need an extra boost to take Thanos down. A clue from the trailer hints that the secret weapon might be arriving from an unlikely source. When our heroes finally march as one, they have a bright new team uniform. The red, white and black suits are snazzy, but also may be more functional than they appear.

Ant-Man has been getting a master class in the Quantum realm from Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) with often humorous results. His storyline has been more lighthearted than many of his fellow Avengers, but his work may end up being the most important. Now that Ant-Man and the Wasp revealed that returning from the Quantum Realm is possible, it could be crucial in rewriting history. Here’s hoping that all combined, there is enough to push us over the finish line.

Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters April 26.
