Anna and Elsa Return in First Frozen 2 Trailer

The world-beating, kid-enthralling global hit Frozen bowed an astonishing six years ago in 2013. Finally, Anna and Elsa are back in Frozen 2. Millions of patient Frozen fans can feast their eyes on the first official trailer.

The last bit of information we shared about the follow-up to one of the biggest hits in history was this awesome Chinese poster for the upcoming film. Posters are great, but actual footage of the continuing saga of Arendelle’s Anna and Elsa are what people have been clamoring for. The sisters are back, and they’re…ice surfing?

Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are at the helm, working from a script from Lee and Hidden Figures‘ scribe Allison Schroeder. Returning champions include Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel Elsa, and Josh Gad (Olaf). The newcomers are an equally impressive bunch; Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown.

The little we know about the plot details of Frozen 2 are as follows: Queen Elsa and her sister Anna will embark on an adventure that takes them to another land, far from the kingdom of Arendelle.

We’ll have a lot more on Frozen 2 once we’ve had a chance to absorb the trailer and scour whatever clues Disney might offer about the plot. We’ve got a feeling that Elsa will find she’s not alone in having potent gifts; there are hints of other characters who might be capable of amazing feats as well. What we do know is that there are about 50-million children who have been eagerly awaiting this sequel—some of whom grew up with Elsa and Anna as the marquee Disney princesses—and this trailer will be like manna from Arendelle to them.

Frozen 2 is due to hit theaters on November 22nd.
