We’re only a few short weeks away from the premiere of James Wan‘s epic Aquaman, and now Warner Bros. has released a massive trove of photos revealing Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s Black Manta, the throne room of the Fisherman Kingdom and a whole lot more. The new images speak to early reactions of the film, which hail a swashbuckling epic that’s both ferociously entertaining and funny (with star Jason Momoa having the absolute time of his life). There is a lot to see here, including the marvel that is Atlantis, images of Dolph Lundgren’s King Nereus, Willem Dafoe’s Vulku, Amber Heard’s Mera, Patrick Wilson‘s King Orm, and some shots of the underwater action, which required an unprecedented amount of water stunts during production.
You’ll notice that one of the photos reveals that Graham McTavish, who played the dwarf Dwalin in The Hobbit trilogy, is playing King Atlan, the former Atlantean ruler (long dead) who is responsible for sinking the mythical city.
Check out the images below. Aquaman opens wide on December 21, 2018.
