Watch as the Stranger Things Cast Gather to Officially Begin Production on Season 3

It’s happening. Stranger Things season 3 officially began production on April 20, and Netflix has gifted fans with a video of what looks to be the cast arriving and setting up for the first table read—you can practically feel the  collective excitement as they all walk towards the room and take their seats.

The video features both old and new faces as staff sets up the name plates. Those include our favorite band of heroes—Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin—who are joined by newcomer Maya Hawke, who we learned in March would be joining the cast as a new character Robin. Robin is a little bored with life and looking for excitement—she’s certainly in the right town for that.

Priah Ferguson, who plays Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin)’s little sister Erica is also seen in the video, and she’s as sassy as ever. You’ll see her kicking us “nerds” out of the room. Erica will have a larger role this season and may be leading her own band of misfits to save the city.

We already know to expect a 8 episodes in season three, but this season will just as exciting as the last, and besides eight episodes is just about the perfect binge-number, not too few or too many.  Season three may be the most drama filled season yet, as our heroes will now not only have to deal with the Demogorgon but also something far scarier—high school. Who wasn’t moved at the end of season two when Eleven (Milly Bobbie Brown) and Mike (Finn Wolfhard) finally became a couple and shared a sweet kiss at the winter ball? Who didn’t root for Lucas and Max (Sadie Sink) to get together, too? No one. But there’s nothing worse for a budding relationship than high school drama, so you can expect a healthy dose of teen angst this season.

The series’ creators, the Duffer Brothers, also confirmed that we’ll see more of the relationship between Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Steve Huntington (Joe Keery) and the pseudo father-daughter relationship between Eleven and Jim Hopper (David Harbour).

We’ll keep you posted on all Stranger Things related news.
