Brand New Avengers: Infinity War Bonus Trailer Boasts New Footage, Bloopers

With Avengers: Infinity War coming home via digital download, that means a lot of fresh material is now available. That includes behind-the-scenes secrets of filming, news on which characters survived Thanos’s snap, gag reels, deleted scenes and more. Marvel has now just released a new bonus trailer, with a bunch of new footage, some great line flubs (watching master thespian Benedict Cumberbatch mess up his character’s name is especially delicious) and details about all the extras you’ll be getting when you bring Infinity War home. Enjoy:

Some of these deleted scenes are really interesting. For example, one scene explores the haunted, hyper-awful “relationship” between Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Thanos (Josh Brolin). This scene included a flashback that reminds us Gamora entered the MCU as a villain. When Guardians of the Galaxy began, she was hunting Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) at the behest of Thanos, but ends up helping him and the Guardians and joining their motley crew of cosmic do-gooders. There’s a lot of interesting backstory and what-ifs in the bonus material (some of our favorite parts we detailed here.) It’s also intriguing to consider what happens to the MCU after the events in the upcoming Avengers 4. Will Thanos survive (seems unlikely)? Will Disney’s potential ownership of Fox pour a frightening array of villains into the MCU?

If you’re curious about some of the specifics of the bonus features, here’s a brief list of some of the features:

Strange Alchemy – Share the thrill of characters from across the MCU meeting for the first time—and discover why some were teamed up together.

The Mad Titan – Explore the MCU’s biggest, baddest villain, his trail of influence through the stories, and the existential threat he represents.

Beyond the Battle: Titan – Dive into the climactic struggle on Thanos’ ruined world, including the epic stunts and VFX, to uncover the source of its power.

Beyond the Battle – Go behind the scenes to find out how the filmmakers pulled off the most massive and challenging battle Marvel had ever attempted.

Avengers: Infinity War is available for digital download now, and on Blu-ray and DVD on August 14.
