BoJack Horseman Season 4 Trailer Reveals BoJack’s Long Gone

One thing that’s noticeably missing from most of the new BoJack Horseman trailer is BoJack (Will Arnett). Diane (Alison Brie) reveals over voicemail that she hasn’t seen or heard from BoJack in 3 months after he drove off at the end of season 3, but there’s a lot to unpack about what the summer brought for the other characters.

Diane has started working for a blog, but the job isn’t as glamourous as she had hoped. She is also helping Mr. Peanutbutter (Paul F. Tompkins) run for Governor. The subplot is sure to be really fun and provide a lot of antics as a brief scene in the trailer already pokes fun at the politician/journalist relationship. Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris) receives a surprising proposal. She might be getting what she always wanted, but it looks like she might be having second thoughts.

Todd’s (Aaron Paul) storyline could provide a major reveal. Todd has lost touch with the group as he lives out his free spirit lifestyle, but has an encounter with a young filly who bears a striking resemblance to BoJack. Could it be a long lost daughter?

We do finally get confirmation that BoJack is alive and well as he sits pensively in his car in front of a dilapidated lakehouse. Season 3 had a lot of sadness with BoJack missing out on the Oscar win, contemplating suicide, and Sarah Lynn’s overdose death. The Season 4 trailer is more upbeat and there’s hope that this points toward brighter days ahead.

BoJack Horseman season 4 premieres September 8.
