Behold Universal Studios’ Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle Projection Show

Disney has their potent, Avatar-inspired Pandora ride, to name just one recent development, but Universal isn’t ceding the theme park/cinematic mashup world to the Mouse House. Universal's new Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle show utilizes a bunch of super powerful projectors to turn a pretty fantastic replica of Hogwarts into a multichromatic wonder. The show officially starts on June 23, but the folks at Inside the Magic caught a preview, and it looks fantastic. The show will be accompanied by John Williams' score from the films, and the projectors make it seem as if all the magic in the world is zipping around the famous wizarding school, with spells both good and evil flashing before your eyes.

The show is currently undergoing technical rehearsals, but you can still marvel at their soft launch they pulled off in Hogsmeade Village, in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood.
