The First Spider-Man: Homecoming Footage Shows Major Suit Upgrade

The very first Spider-Man: Homecoming footage has arrived, a day before the first official trailer is set to air on Jimmy Kimmel Live (as you've by now heard, Kimmel will be the host of the upcoming Oscars.) This tiny but potent little video shows off a cool new feature in Spidey's suit, courtesy of a certain billionaire friendn with the initials T.S.

This new feature to Spidey's suit is deceptively brilliant, and it's delivered to Peter Parker (Tom Holland) by Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau). The next thing you'll notice is how this brief footage is all shot from Peter's POV, which makes sense considering Peter's just a teeanger and this is exactly the kind of GoPro/SnapChat-esque video a kid his age would film, albeit with a whole lot more intrigue. If director Jon Watts can deliver on his promise of making the film really feel like a high school story that happens to feature a superhero, we'd be extremely excited. This footage is a good start.

Spider-Man: Homecoming opens July 7, 2017. Starring alongside Holland are Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.
