Twitter Announces Rogue One Live Streaming Event for This Friday

As we inch closer to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's December 16 premiere, fresh news arrives every day on the first non-saga Star Wars film ever. Today, it was word that Twitter, in collaboration with Disney and People Magazine, will be live streaming a special Rogue One event. People will host the live stream, which will debut brand new scenes from the film and which will be followed by a Q&A with director Gareth Edwards and some of the film's cast.

So set your watch (or phones) for Friday, December 2nd at 10am PT/1 pm EST, when the live stream will begin from a secret location (our guess is aboard the Millennium Falcon at Pinewood Studios in England). "The live stream will be available worldwide to Twitter's logged-in and logged-out audience on Twitter and connected devices and can be found at RogueOne.twitter.com, in Twitter Moments and through @StarWars and @people," the press release states.

This will give Star Wars fans a chacne to get some behind-the-scenes commentary from Edwards, Lucasfilm President and Producer Kathleen Kennedy, and cast members including Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk and Riz Ahmed.

"The Q&A will be hosted by People's Deputy Editor, JD Heyman. Fans can submit questions on Twitter for the cast to answer during the event by Tweeting with #AskRogueOne. Fans can also Tweet with the following hashtags and a Star Wars Twitter emoji will automatically appear: #RogueOne, #DeathStar, #StarWars and #StarWarsRogueOne."
