Gotham Season 3: Enter Bruce Wayne

Season three of Gotham is only a week away, and Fox has just released two new promos, including the very first that digs deeper into Bruce Wayne’s (David Mazouz) journey, including the conspiracy that was behind the murder of his parents (which, of course, is ultimately what turns him into Batman). Bruce found out about the Secret Court in season two, and left Gotham for his own safety. In season three, Bruce is back in Gotham, which means he's now going to be in the very eye of the storm.

The second promo is an entirely different affair, as Bruce Wayne isn't the only Gothamite with a lot on his plate. Season two featured a bit of a monster plague on the city, and now in season three, Oswald Cobblepot’s (Robin Lord Taylor) sees a chance to cement his legacy by doing what the police seem incapable of; dealing withGotham’s monster problem.

There's a lot to look forward to in season three, with new villains from Batman's world are ready to make their entrance. They include the aforementioned Court of Owls, the Mad Hatter (The Walking Dead‘s Benedict Samuel), Solomon Grundy, and, what's more, we'll see Poison Ivy embodied by Maggie Geha, taking over for Clare Foley who played the character in the first two seasons of the series. Why, you ask? Well, we've recently learned that Ivy has been "reborn as a 19-year-old woman who’s harnessed the full power of her charms and sets her sights on Bruce Wayne.”

Gotham Season three will premiere on September 19 at 8 PM ET on FOX.
