It’s Monster Mayhem in A Quiet Place: Part II “Fight” Teaser

What we’ve seen so far from John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place: Part II has been very promising. Krasinski’s follow-up to his 2018 smash hit expands the world of monsters vs humans we got only a glimpse of in the original. The first film was squarely focused on the Abbott family, led by Lee (Krasinski) and Evelyn (Emily Blunt), who were doing their level best to keep their children Marcus and Regan (Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds, respectively) alive. Oh, and Evelyn was also pregnant, complicating matters tremendously. Considering the alien monsters hunting and killing humanity do so by sound, the Abbotts, especially pregnant Evelyn, had all the odds stacked against them.

We know how it turned out; Lee sacrificed himself to keep his children alive, and Evelyn, with the help of Regan, learned how to kill the monsters, albeit not at a rate that would turn the tide of this lopsided war. When A Quiet Place ended, Evelyn, Marcus, Regan and the baby were still alive, but their plight was really just beginning.

Which brings us to the latest teaser released by Paramount. Entitled “Fight,” this new look at Part II further reveals the larger world Krasinski is building here. Have a look:

Evelyn and the kids are now stepping out into the larger world—quietly, of course—where they encounter more survivors. A Quiet Place: Part II will explore not only the origins of the monster’s arrival but also how other people have been dealing with them.

Those other survivors include characters played by Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou, two excellent additions to the cast. Watching how Evelyn manages to keep her kids safe, not only from the monsters but from people less than willing to include her family in their survival plans, will be one of the chief joys of A Quiet Place: Part II.

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
