New Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Photos Highlight Skywalker Saga’s Epic Conclusion

Earlier today we shared this new image of Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) piloting the Millennium Falcon. (As well as this Star Wars timeline to get you up to speed—and in the right era—before you see the film.)

Now, Entertainment Weekly has shared their exclusive spread for their upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker issue, and it includes 8 new photos.

First, a look at their new cover, via EW‘s Instagram page:

Some of the new photos include this shot of Rey (Daisy Ridley) in what we gather is a bit of lightsaber training?

Buddies forever, Finn (John Boyega) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) highlight this shot.

The full cache of new photos include newcomers Richard E. Grant’s First Order Allegiant General Pryde and a fresh look at Naomi Ackie’s Jannah. The photos also speak to how in The Rise of Skywalker, our heroes are coming together. They were more or less all on solo missions in Rian Johnson’s The Last Jedi, with Finn and Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) off on one mission, Poe mostly in the cockpit of his X-Wing, and Rey dealing with a reluctant mentor in Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and then a thrilling showdown with Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) that saw her teaming up with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). For the 9th and final installment of the Skywalker Saga, it seems everything, and everyone is converging.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20, 2019.
