Every Black Panther Teaser Just Gets Cooler

If Thor: Ragnarok was the funniest Marvel film yet, Black Panther is possibly on track to be the coolest. A new TV spot tweeted by Marvel shows off some of the intense stunts, insane action, and a really cool car.

T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) is looking every bit the king he’s come to be. In political settings, he appears confident and reserved. As the Black Panther, he’s strong and unleashes incomparable fighting power. The job calls for someone who can do both, and from what we’ve seen, T’Challa has our vote. Of course, there’s always someone out there who thinks they can be a better leader. We suspect that Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) will try to take a swipe at the throne. Other relationships are likely to be tested as Ramonda (Angela Bassett) sees her son take over the role that her husband served until his death. Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Okoye (Danai Gurira) will also be dealing with the loss of their king.

One of the most exciting parts of the movie will be getting to finally explore Wakanda. The natural beauty and impressive cityscapes are really thrilling. The Wakandans have the most technologically advanced weapons at their disposal, but the spot shows off that they are also trained in hand-to-hand combat. T’Challa’s super suit appears to be pretty structurally sound. He takes on a gunman without flinching and leaps out of the way of a speeding car.

The short clip teases the tagline, “Hero. Legend. King.” That’s a big role for any one person to fill, but if anyone can do it, we believe in T’Challa.

Black Panther opens in theaters Feburary 16.
