Anna Kendrick Gears Up for Christmas in Nicole

You might be gearing up for your Halloween celebration this weekend, but Anna Kendrick is all ready for Christmas. The Pitch Perfect star showed off her elf approved outfit from Disney’s Nicole.

It begins….. N O E L L E

Kendrick captioned the Instagram photo simply, “It begins…N O E L L E.” Looks like filming is under way on the family holiday flick. We are green with envy over Kendrick’s festive ensemble. Her adorable Nordic dress, matching tights and cozy boots are going on our wish list. This isn’t your old fashioned Santa suit. Nicole is here and she’s doing Christmas her own way.

The plot is reminiscent of Tim Allen’s 1994 hit, The Santa Clause, except less morbid. Allen’s character, Scott Calvin, accidentally inherits the Big Man’s duties after killing him. In Nicole, Kendrick takes over the family business after her father retires, making her the new ‘Saint Nic.’ Kendrick has such a knack for comedic timing and embraces being awkward, which will make for some hilarious scenarios. We also love the idea of a female Santa taking charge and spreading the holiday cheer.

Miss Congeniality writer Marc Lawrence penned the script and will also direct. Just from the cast, we can tell this is going to be one of the funniest Christmas movies on record. SNL’s Bill Hader, Difficult People’s Billy Eichner, and stage and screen legend Shirley MacLaine will join Kenrick at the North Pole.

Obviously with filming just getting underway, Nicole will not be coming down the chimney this holiday season. The movie has an expected release date of November 2019.
