Check out These Glorious new Photos From Black Panther

Happy Wednesday, Black Panther fans. Marvel Studios and Disney have released a slew of high-resolution images from director Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther, and once again we’re given ample reason to count down the days until the film’s release. Coogler’s film, which he co-wrote his longtime collaborator Joe Robert Cole, stars Chadwick Boseman as the titular superhero T’Challa (we first met him on Team Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War), who returns to his country Wakanda, a place with an abundance of Marvel’s most important natural resource, vibranium, to assume his rightful place as king after his father’s death.Yet T’Chall’s place on the throne is challenged, as powers internal and external bear down on the young kind and his allies.

Along with Boseman, the film also stars Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis. Black Panther opens in theaters on February 16, 2018.

We’ve already marveled (pun intended) at the trailer, and those film critics who have seen roughly 20 minutes of the movie have enthused, so these photos simply add to our increasing excitement at what Coogler, his crew and cast have pulled off here. Let’s have a look at some of these fantastic new photos:
