Alien Day Approaches on 4-26-17

Earlier today we shared these three new TV spots for Alien: Covenant. Now, 20th Century Fox has revealed their all-new Alien Universe Hub, which will keeps fans busy until the official Alien Day, on April 26, 2017. The new site has missions for fans to take, including creating and submitting your own original Xenomorph-themed Alien artwork by April 19. For inspiration, check out our piece on the man who helped Ridley Scott turn the very first Alien into an iconic film, thanks to his terrifying artwork that became the basis for the Xenomorph. 

The site is also where you’ll be able to watch a live streaming event from Fox Studios in Los Angeles on Alien Day, a special one-hour streamed event will feature cast members, exclusive footage from the film, the announcement of the art contest winner, the launch of a behind-the-scenes digital series, Alien Day activations and reveals.

If you're not hip to Alien: Covenant's premise, here's a brief snyopsis from Fox: The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape. The cast includes Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby
