The Lifeguards are Now on Duty: Baywatch Drops First Trailer

The lifeguards are back! The first big-screen adaptation of the hit NBC show that premiered in 1989 is finally here.

You remember the original Baywatch (or you don’t, because you’re that young)—it started off with David Hasselhoff, Parker Stevenson, Shawn Weatherly, Billy Warlock, Erika Eleniak, Peter Phelps, Brandon Call and Holly Gagnier, but this crew was canceled after a single season. When a first-run syndication deal breathed new life into the show, the series returned in 1991, adding Yasmine Bleeth and Pamela Anderson. The show was a hit, and lasted a decade.

Now a new team is keeping the shore safe. San Andreas stars Dwayne Johnson and Alexandra Daddario join Zac Efron (Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates), Kelly Rohrbach (Broad City), Jon Bass (Loving), Ilfenesh Hadera (Oldboy), Priyanka Chopra (Quantico) and Hannibal Buress (Broad City).

Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief) directs.

Baywatch hits the big screen May 26, 2017.
