Watch Hidden Figures Lyric Video “I See a Victory”

Yesterday we had the opportunity to interview Hidden Figures (and Moonlight star) Janelle Monáe—we'll be publishing that early next week. What we learned talking to the talented musician, actress and writer is that the sisterhood you see and feel on screen in Hidden Figures is real. The three leads, Monáe, Taraji P. Henson and Octavia Spencer, became very close on set. In the film they protray three brilliant African-American women who, up until now, have been largely forgotten. Katherine Johnson (Henson), Dorothy Vaughn (Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Monáe) were absolutely critical to NASA's successful launch of astronatu John Glenn into orbit, an momentous achievement that restored America's confidence and completely changed the Space Race between America and Russia.

In a new video, "I See A Victory," the three women and their game-changing exploits are accompanied by the music of a host of talented stars, including Monáe herself, Pharrell, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Kim Burrell and more.

Hidden Figures will be released in select theaters on December 25, and then go wide on January 6.
