Seven Great Reasons to Love the new The Magnificent Seven Teaser

The cast of The Magnificent Seven is, to our eyes, just about perfect. The town of Rose Creek is under the control of sinister industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard—always a great villain), so the townspeople seek help from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns to help them wrest control of their fate from this brutal madman. Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington) is the bounty hunter, Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt) is the gambler, Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke) is the sharpshooter, Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio) is the tracker, Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee) is the assassin, Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) is the outlaw, and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier) is the warrior. This seven will need to come together to beat not only Bogue, but the huge, hired army he's amassed.

While The Magnificent Seven is a remake of a remake of a remake, we're betting that director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Equalizer) and this cast can do justice to the great 1960 John Sturges film, which itself was a remake of Akira Kurosawa's classic Seven Samurai. As this new teaser displays, you've got a game cast and a director who knows action. We'll see just how magnificent it comes together on September 23.
