Epic New 3 Minute Sully IMAX Trailer

Clocking in at 3 minutes, with new footage that includes some behind-the-scenes looks, this new Sully IMAX trailer is the best peek yet at Clint Eastwood’s latest film. Starring Tom Hanks in the title role as Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, who safely brought his Airbus A320 with 155 passengers down on the frigid waters of the Hudson river on January 15, 2009, Sully will take us into the maelstrom that followed this unforgettable moment.

While Sully’s name became practically synonymous with cool under pressure, the architect of the “Miracle on the Hudson” was soon under investigation for his decision to land his disabled plane on the river, one that threatened to destroy his reputation and career.

Along with Hanks, Sully also stars Aaron Eckhart (Olympus Has Fallen, The Dark Knight) as Sully’s co-pilot, Jeff Skiles, and Oscar nominee Laura Linney (The Savages, Kinsey) as Sully’s wife, Lorraine Sullenberger.

Todd Komarnicki wrote the script, which he adapted from the book “Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters,” by Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow.

Sully lands in theaters on September 9.
