On Location: Street Food Cinema

The Credits recently traveled to LA’s Street Food Cinema–a unique film screening experience that celebrates cult movies, great music, and exquisite food. Presented by Moviefone, Street Food Cinema is part street fair, part outdoor movie festival, and the event is a sensorial feast for cinephiles who like to munch on gourmet food truck fare, listen to great local bands, dress up in honor of their favorite movies, and watch iconic flicks under the stars.

We were in luck, as the night of our attendance included a double feature: Weird Science and The Breakfast Club. We sampled delicious street food–from Hawaiian shaved ice to gourmet hot dogs–and were at the mercy of the rollicking 1980s. We listened to an excellent 80’s cover band, witnessed a truly impressive 80’s-themed costume contest and watched two of the decade’s most quotable movies. What could be better? Check out our video for highlights of the night, and be sure to visit Street Food Cinema’s website for more information about the event.
