Statement from Senator Chris Dodd on the Confirmation of Michelle Lee as Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Senate confirmed the Administration’s nomination of Michelle Lee to be Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The following is a statement from Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America, Inc.:

“We are pleased that the Senate has confirmed Michelle Lee as Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. As the digital world continues to grow, protecting IP rights is key to encouraging the innovation and creative works that boost economic productivity and create jobs. We congratulate Ms. Lee on being named to this important post and look forward to working with her.”
