Statement from Senator Chris Dodd on President Obama’s Proposed Fiscal Year 2016 Budget

WASHINGTON – The following is a statement from Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America, Inc. on the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2016 released today by President Obama:

“We are pleased that President Obama’s proposed Fiscal Year 2016 budget includes language that once again stresses the importance of protecting our nation’s cyberspace. The Internet offers incredible opportunities, but it has also become a tool for those who wish to cause harm or steal data of value, whether it’s personally identifiable information, content, or trade secrets.   We look forward to continue working with the White House, lawmakers, and all other stakeholders open to thoughtful discussion about how to ensure a safe and secure online environment for everyone.”
