September 21, 2025

WASHINGTON – The following is a statement from Charles Rivkin, Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association (MPA), congratulating Christopher Nolan on his election as president of the Directors Guild of America (DGA):

“From superhero classics to iconic thrillers to Oscar-winning epics, Christopher Nolan is a legend behind the camera — and I know he will be a potent force leading the 19,000-plus members of the Directors Guild of America.

“The MPA and the DGA are partners in promoting a strong and thriving creative community.
