MPA Statement on Sean Astin’s Election as SAG-AFTRA President

WASHINGTON – The following is a statement from Charles Rivkin, Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association (MPA), on Sean Astin’s election as president of SAG-AFTRA:

“Sean Astin is an extraordinary actor recognized by fans worldwide for memorable roles in a wide range of classic films — and I have no doubt he will bring his trademark energy, drive, and creativity to his advocacy on behalf of SAG-AFTRA and its 160,000-plus members.
