MPA Statement on Confirmation of Olivia Trusty as FCC Commissioner

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Senate yesterday confirmed Olivia Trusty as a Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The following is a statement from the Motion Picture Association: 

“Olivia Trusty’s extensive experience on Capitol Hill will serve her well as a Commissioner of the FCC. The film, television, and streaming industry is a key contributor and catalyst for U.S. economic growth, and we share the FCC’s core mission – to promote a competitive marketplace and encourage domestic investment. The MPA looks forward to working alongside Commissioner Trusty, Commissioner Gomez, Chairman Carr, and the agency to pursue our common goals on behalf of the American people.”
