IT: Chapter Two May Use A Record Breaking Amount of Blood in a Single Scene
Just what is up in Derry, Maine these days? Thirty years (two years) have passed since Pennywise last terrorized the town, but since then, it has been nearly silent. Yet, we get a feeling that something is about to happen once again.
Ok, I’m being dramatic, but I am seriously craving some updates from IT: Chapter Two and Jessica Chastain is here to deliver. We haven’t had any official production stills or a teaser of any kind and the year of the clown is upon is. Just six months until evil rises again, but Beverly Marsh herself is finally breaking the silence.
Chastain appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and delivered some gruesome details through her giggles. Chastain smirked and confessed she maybe shouldn’t be talking about any details yet, but there is no time like the present! And did she deliver a doozy.
“I’m going to say something, and I think I’m going to be in trouble, but I’m going to do it,” she said. “It might be a spoiler. But in the movie, there’s a scene that someone said on set that it’s the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film in a scene. And I’ll tell you, the next day I was like pulling blood out of my eyeballs.” She did quickly clarify, “Fake blood!”
Wow, what a time to be a Loser. Beverly Marsh has seen her fair share of blood. Poor Bev (Sophia Lillis) had an entire bathroom full in the first IT. Her adult character must actually be in the scene and not just a bystander if Chastain got drenched.

Blood is one of the main ingredients in most horror films causing costume, set designers, and continuity supervisors some serious headaches. However, the end effect is usually worth it. That said, there would be some major competition for this honor. Does it include the elevator from The Shining? I guess we’ll just have to watch and see.
