MPAA Statement on New WB CEO

January 28, 2013

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 28, 2013

WASHINGTON — The following is a statement from Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America, Inc. (MPAA) on the promotion of Kevin Tsujihara to Chief Executive Officer of Warner Bros. Entertainment:

“I wish to congratulate Kevin as he takes the reins at Warner Bros. Entertainment – and I applaud Time Warner for this decision. Kevin has done a remarkable job overseeing the organization’s home entertainment division, and his leadership will serve as a tremendous asset, not only for Warner Bros., but for the entire film and television industry. I look forward to continuing to work closely with Kevin as he takes on this important new role.

“I would be remiss if I did not offer my deepest gratitude to my good friend Barry Meyer, who is remaining as Chairman for a transition period. Barry’s support and guidance throughout our time working together has been invaluable. He has been a great leader at Warner Bros., a great leader on the board of the MPAA, and a great leader for the motion picture and television industry overall.”
