Fifty Shades Freed Teaser Delivers Appropriately Bizarre Honeymoon

The Fifty Shades of Grey series moves ever forward, now into its third and final film, Fifty Shades Freed. The new teaser promises all the kinky action we’ve come to expect between Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) and Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), only this time there’s also a wedding and a kidnapping to keep things appropriately weird and dangerous.

The teaser is heavy on atmospherics and light on plot details, save for one major moment. You’ve got a tame version of Christian and Anastasia’s relationship, showing a beautiful Anastasia in her wedding gown (eagle eyed fans have already pointed out that it looks similar to Kristen Stewart’s gown as Bella in the Twilight series, the basis for the Fifty Shades series), and Christian reciting his vows to love and protect her. Everything seems wonderful! Nothing weird will happen!

The happy couple head off on their honeymoon, where things start to resemble Fifty Shades again (kink, etc.), until things go truly insane and Anastasia is chloroformed by her former boss Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson), proving that when it comes to normalcy, Anastasia and Christian are really terrible at it. 

Fifty Shades Freed will hit theaters on February 8, 2018, obviously in time for Valentine’s Day.
