Can you Find the Guardians of the Galaxy Easter Egg?

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has been saying for a while now that eagle eyed fans have still not found a major easter egg in the first film. How is it possible, in an age of hyper-vigiliant film and TV watching, with the numerous Reddit threads devoted to deciphering every movie and show’s tiniest detail, that this easter egg is still out there, unseen?

Ever since Gunn teased fans, they’ve been hard at work looking at every single frame of the film. And they’ve found nothing. Naturally, this has led to not a few people assuming Gunn’s messing with them, and there’s no easter egg at all. To put that to rest, Gunn has now made the bold claim that he’ll pay a certain fan $100,000 if it’s proven there is no easter egg. ComicBook.com has the scoop:

“Tanin Moores If there is no Easter egg I will give you a hundred thousand dollars – copy this post – I will consider it a legally binding contract – signed, James Gunn.”

Here's where you can go to watch the film, and then we challenge you to find this darn thing (or don't find it, claim it's not there, and get Gunn to pay you a hundred grand! We highly doubt this will happen, however, as he's the man who made the film and if he says it's there, it's probably there) and then let us, and Gunn, know about it.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 arrives on May 5, 2017.
