Tom Cruise Kicks Butt in new Jack Reacher: Never Go Back IMAX Trailer

As we've written before, Tom Cruise doesn't seem to age. And one of his lasting contributions to film will be his fearless commitment to performing his own stunts. When we interviewed stunt coordinator Wade Eastwood, a man who worked with Cruise on Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, we learned first-hand just how hard Cruise works to make sure the action in his films is as real as possible, which often means he's doing things he really shouldn't be doing.

In this new trailer for Jack Reacher: Never Go BackCruise is at his butt-kicking best. While the stunts don't quite rise to the insane level of his Mission: Impossible work (and really, few films do), Cruise is still throwing his body around aplenty as the former military legend and itinerant problem-solver needs to absolve himself of a murder accusation and deal with the fact that he might actually be father. Along with these tasks, Reacher has to throttle, man-handle and beat down a wide selection of bigger, younger men. Have you seen a trailer with more solid punches landed than this one? We don't think so.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back hits theaters (hard) on October 21.
