First Glimpse at Smurfs: The Lost Village

If you’re watching the new Smurfs: The Lost Village teaser trailer, don’t worry. Your computer didn’t freeze. The little blue guys (and girl) have some fun with the ratings card before revealing their deceptively beautiful surroundings. Hefty, Clumsy, Brainy and Smurfette find themselves lost in the Forbidden Forest in search of The Lost Village. We quickly learn why the forest is forbidden when Brainy becomes a snack to an oversized flower and the other plants stare the audience down.

Unlike it’s recent predecessors, the latest Smurfs installment is entirely animated with no live action actors. Joe Manganiello (True Blood), Mandy Patinkin (Homeland), Rainn Wilson (The Office), Jack McBrayer (Wreck-It Ralph), Danny Pudi (Community), and Demi Lovato lend their voice. Reboots from the 1980s continue to be a hit among audiences so we expect the little Smurfs will be a big draw.

Smurfs: The Lost Village finds its way to theaters on March 31.
