Viola Davis Pulls the Strings in new Suicide Squad Puppet Master Promo

Viola Davis has flown fairly under the radar in all the hoopla leading up to Suicide Squad's August 8 release. No longer. The Oscar nominee is the puppet master in the latest Squad promo, proving that her Amanda Waller, despite not having a flashy name, insane clothes, tattoos or any discernible superpower is not someone you want to mess with. While the focus has understandably been on Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and the Joker (Jared Leto), the person bringing all these criminal sociopaths together is Waller. Even her cartoon skeleton, which every character gets in the film, means business; it wears pearls and earrings. 

"I'll suffer the consequences" Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) says at one point in the promo. "I am the consquences," Waller reminds him, and us, that when it comes to Suicide Squad, she's the real squad leader.
