Join Xavier’s School for Gifted Children in This Retro Recruitment Video

Oh, Charles Xavier—what would the world's tenderhearted mutant children do without you and your beloved school? Ostracized by their non-mutant classmates, misunderstood (and often feared) by their own parents and siblings, and viewed with suspicion by the general public, these kids needed someone who understood them, and some place they could feel safe (and grow into the finest fighting unit this side of the Delta Force). In this fairly perfectly realized retro recruitment video, dated 1983, Jubilee exhorts young mutants to come to Xavier's School for the Gifted where, unbeknownst to them, they'll end up potentially enlisted in the fight against the most powerful mutant of all, Apocalypse, and go from cafeteria outcast to last line of defense between humanity and a power-mad demi-God hellbent on their destruction. Free room and board, though!

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27.
