The BFG‘s new Trailer is Here

The BFG had its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, and now Walt Disney Pictures has released a new trailer for director Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic.

The important part of the BFG's name is that F—he's friendly. This makes him an outlier in Giant Country. where giants like Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement) are not known for placing nice. They're also much bigger than the BFG, who is 24-feet tall with enormous ears and a keen sense of smell, but, also, he's a little slow. When Sophie arrives in Giant Country, she's initially frightened of the mysterious giant who brings her to his cave, but soon sees that he's something quite different. But Sophie is nothing more than a delicious morsel to the other giants. “It’s a story about friendship, it’s a story about loyalty and protecting your friends and it’s a story that shows that even a little girl can help a big giant solve his biggest problems,” Spielberg has said.
